In his current role, Carl is responsible for helping to design and execute growth strategy, people initiatives and service-quality activities. Carl also ensures that Advisory’s operational functions support and align with the business’s strategic goals, and he is deeply involved in the career and skills development of Advisory’s professionals. Most recently, Carl has been instrumental in expanding KPMG’s Advisory practice beyond its traditional service areas to include a new strategy division to compete with the country’s top strategy firms. When working with clients, Carl strives to put their best interests at the top of his agenda and to bring the full breadth of the firm to address their business challenges. He believes that companies, whether adjusting to new risk environments, rapidly changing public policy and regulatory reforms, or disruptive technologies, can capitalize on change to achieve profitable growth and a successful future. In recognition of his efforts, Carl was named in 2013 as one of Consulting Magazine’s Top 25 Consultants for excellence in client service. Carl truly lives out the philosophy of being a “leader who serves.” He has been a supportive mentor to other professionals at all levels. He is known to lead by example, inspire people to high performance and generously give credit and recognition to those who have helped get the job done right.
