P. Scott Ozanus is Deputy Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of KPMG LLP. He chairs the Management Committee and oversees KPMG’s business planning and growth initiatives.

With a career spanning more than 30 years in professional services, Scott is a respected voice on a range of issues, including M&A, tax strategy, operational
excellence and organizational strategy. He has extensive experience serving multinational private equity and hedge fund clients within the Alternative Investments market.

Scott is a driving force behind the KPMG’s “One Firm” approach in which people and resources across the Audit, Tax and Advisory businesses are brought together to deliver more comprehensive solutions and strategic advantage. As a result, KPMG’s clients can better understand and capitalize on disruptive change to strengthen how they manage risk, adapt their business models, leverage technology, address regulatory change, enhance innovation, and achieve sustained growth. He also is the account executive for a number of KPMG’s largest and most significant clients.

Before coming Deputy Chairman in 2012, he served as KPMG’s Vice Chair of Tax; Managing Partner of the firm’s Dallas office; and in Regional Managing Partner roles for KPMG’s Tax practice. Earlier, with Arthur Andersen, Scott led the firm’s Tax Department and served as Dallas Office Managing Partner, the youngest partner to hold those roles at the time.

Scott and his family reside in Dallas, where he is active in the community. Scott has served on several Dallas area boards, including the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, the Heart Hospital Baylor-Plano, and the Cox School of Business. He currently serves on the board of Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

He holds a B.B.A. degree in accounting from Texas A&M University; is a licensed CPA in Texas and Oklahoma; and is a member of both the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
