Mark is the National Audit Industry Leader for Oil and Gas and a partner in the Audit practice based in Houston. Mark is an Audit Partner serving both public and private upstream and midstream energy companies.

Mark is the National Audit Industry Leader for Oil and Gas and a partner in the Audit practice based in Houston. Mark joined KPMG in 2002 and was admitted to the Partnership in 2006.  He has served a number of global energy companies including Anadarko Petroleum, Noble Energy and Occidental Petroleum.  His broader experience includes master limited partnerships, exploration and production, trading & marketing, and independent power sectors.  Mark has extensive experience with securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and global accounts. These experiences have exposed him to a wide variety of situations including PCAOB requirements and inspections, emerging accounting and industry issues, security offerings, and various rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also serves as a SEC Reviewing Partner supporting a variety of upstream, midstream and field service companies. 

Mark also serves as a KPMG national and industry subject matter instructor and has instructed KPMG’s Executive Education courses.  Mark has been a speaker and panelist at various conferences on industry and technical matters including KPMG’s Global Energy Conference.  He is an active supporter of the Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Chapter, Montgomery County Women’s Center and Youth Services.
